OBSTETRICS
There are very few family
doctors in the Portland area that still deliver babies, but for all of us at West Linn Family Health Center, it is the highlight of what we do.
As family doctors,
not only do we provide prenatal and obstetrical care for the mother, but we also have the privilege of caring for the children we deliver, the father, and other family
members. As a result, we have the joy of watching the children grow and truly feel like we become a part of the family. It is most rewarding.
Although the
three of us have a very similar philosophy of care, we try very hard to deliver all of our own obstetrical patients. As far as we know, we are the only obstetrical group in
the Portland area that takes all of their own call. The only time we cover each other for deliveries is if one of us is actually out of town. Thus, we rarely miss
delivering our own patients.
If you are pregnant or contemplating pregnancy and wish to have a free consult with one of the doctors, just call and ask to speak with
Cindy Kohl, our medical assistant that helps coordinate our obstetrical care. We will be happy to explain further the benefits of having your OB care in the warm and
