CLINIC HOURS AND CALL SCHEDULE

We try to reserve Saturday clinic for emergency and urgent problems only. The doctors take their own call on weekday nights and rotate call on weekends. Whichever doctor is on call that weekend runs the Saturday clinic. The doctor on call can always be reached by calling the main clinic number (503-635-8384), which is automatically forwarded to the answering service. We try to return all pages within 15 minutes. Occasionally, mistakes are made. Sometimes we get paged to the wrong number; sometimes we never receive pages that were supposedly sent. This does not happen very often, but if you have an emergency that cannot wait and the doctor does not get back to you in a timely manner, do not wait, go to the emergency room and we will sort out the problem later.

Despite being a small, three-physician office, we have tried to arrange our office hours to accommodate our patient's needs. Our hours are:

Mondays                 7:30 to 4:30
Tues and Thurs       9:00 to 5:00
Wednesdays           9:00 to 5:00
Fridays                   8:30 to 12:00
Saturday                9:00 to 12:00


APPOINTMENTS
Appointments can be scheduled by calling the main office number, 503-635-8384 and pressing option #1. We feel strongly about being able to see patients in a timely manner. We reserve openings for all three doctors every day to accommodate urgent problems. As with any busy practice, those spaces fill up quickly each day and your doctor may not have an opening to see you on the day that you call. If it is not an emergency situation, you will be given the option of coming in that day to see one of the nurse practitioners or waiting a few days to see the doctor. If you choose to see the nurse practitioner, be assured that they are very capable of handling most medical problems. In the event that your condition requires further consultation, the nurse practitioner will go get your doctor to consult on your condition. When scheduling appointments it is important to let the front office know the number of issues you need to address so adequate time can be scheduled for your visit.
